Wesleyan College


Founded in 1836, Wesleyan College was the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Centrally located in Macon, Georgia, Wesleyan sits on a beautifully protected 200 acres.

The Need

Wesleyan College was seeking a partner to offer a comprehensive evaluation of its marketing efforts and develop a year-long campaign to improve recruitment, retention, and brand awareness.

The Solution

Through interviews, surveys, research, and discovery, M&R created a comprehensive, 12-month marketing plan for Wesleyan College. The discovery phase included assembling eight survey groups:

The Results

Our comprehensive marketing plan included detailed recommendations to effectively reach Wesleyan’s primary and secondary target markets. Our recommendations placed a strong emphasis on the primary target market for Wesleyan – high school females.
