International Cherry Blossom Festival

Client Overview: Macon Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival has attracted people to Macon from across the world since 1982. Each year over 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees bloom and provide a beautiful setting for the yearly Festival. The Festival has been named a Top Festival in Georgia, Top 20 Event in the Southeast, a Top 50 Event in the United States, and a Top 100 Event in North America.

Client Needs

Cherry Blossom Festival requested an enhanced online presence, minor rebranding, brand management, and a comprehensive graphic design package for all pre- and post-festival collateral.

M&R worked closely with Cherry Blossom Festival to design and build a 100+ page, client-manageable website featuring responsive (mobile-friendly) technology, a robust calendar, and e-commerce capability.

For the Festival’s 120+ events, we created a consistent, branded print package to highlight each event. We provided an extensive brand management package that included social media, eNewsletter, consultation, and press correspondence.

Project Highlights

During the month of March, the Cherry Blossom Festival website received nearly 500,000 pageviews, with 12% of website visitors coming from outside of the United States. Within the United States, over 24% were from outside of the host state of Georgia. Post-festival surveys from attendees recognized as one of the highlights the ease of finding information about events on the website and print material.
