Responsibilities

  • Perform code evaluations and improvement to website themes and extensions
  • Update current client websites and plugins, such as creating blog articles, uploading images and files, installing new plugins, and testing updates from other developers
  • Build website landing pages and other single-page web layouts based on approved design files
  • Provide web administration, such as managing website hosting and login credentials
  • Build additions to websites, following the existing structure

Skillsets & Abilities

  • Proficient understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proficient with general coding concepts and logic, such as working with loops, building an array and accessing data from it, and writing a function, calling it, and passing its parameters
  • Proficient understanding of debugging and using browser web inspector tools
  • Preferred experience with debugging and tracing the source of your broken code
  • Preferred knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, and / or other API services
  • Preferred experience working with WordPress themes or another CMS
  • Knowledge of responsive design and mobile layout considerations
  • Knowledge of Google products is a plus: Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console
  • Knowledge of DNS is a plus
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code a plus
  • Experience with Git is a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) a plus

Additional Details

  • Pay: $10-12/hour based on experience
  • Hours: 10-20 per week
  • Location: M&R office, 331 3rd Street in Macon
